intensiv six day course ceramics

Raku stands for ceramics that will be fired in Japanese origin. The work the students made, gets fired in a primitive gas kiln. The quickness of the process and its primitieve character gives the work a spontaneity and an extraordinary directness. The whole process of making, firing, reduction in a barrel filled with hay and cooling down in water, is an intense experience. Participation in two groups: morning group 9:30 am – 0:30 pm evening group from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm Start: the making of the work Four days: Monday 23rd of August - Thursday 26th of August Glazing Fryday 3rd of September Firing The Raku-firing is the whole Saturday 4th of September for both groups, if the weather is not too bad.
